Descendants of Isha

Seeing as this has been out a while and I haven't done this yet.  seems like I should.
Baharroth
Baharroth
Solid stats for a warlord, 2/6 is fairly standard.  And Mobile.  Bloody mobile.  Turns out if you are mobile you become a giant pain in the ass to kill.  But it's not a game changer.  it does let you bait that lose or get doomed play easier though.  Commit to plant 1.  if your opponent does, just mobile out to planet 2 and doom them next turn.  They will be sad.
Baharroth’s Hawks
Baharroths Hawks
Slightly too expensive for my taste, but those two command icons are very tasty.  And being mobile are almost unsnipeable.  The real juice is that +3 atk when with Baharroth.  A 2/3/2 for 3 suddenly becomes value. 4/5
Banner of the Ashen Sky
Banner of the Ashen Sky
1 cost which is fine for it's effect.  After a unit moves, give it some extra attack. The sad thing is that it obviously gives your opponent a chance to do something about said unit before it attacks.  2/5
The Shining Blade
The Shining Blade
This puzzles me.  It could be fun, sniping things on adjacent planets, but here's the issue.  There has to be an enemy unit at your planet to even get a chance to declare an attack.  So you are giving up the chance to eliminate an immediate threat to go for something else.  I guess it's fine if you facing a rogue trader or something and getting the chance to put free damage on a warlord, but still.  Maybe if the blade gave some sort of +1 atk...   Also if you attach to this to Baharroth and he gets bloodied, it will go in the bin as he isn't mobile anymore. 1/5
Cry of the Wind
Cry of the Wind
Move guys more.  Pretty tasty with death from above as that super cheap unit gets to where you want it quicker.  Offers some amazing tactical benefits.  4/5
Urien Rakarth
Urien Rakarth
Solid body.  Makes tortures events 1 cheaper, makes all other event 1 more expensive.  The biggest issue with this guy is Archons Terror.  it;s the best DE event by far, and making it 3 cost hurts.  But tortures and just plain annoying.  And rapid firing them out for cheap is such fun.  Obviously if you run Urien you pack your deck with Tortures.  And laugh as the only faction than stop the pain is Eldar.  Also 8 card starting hand, nice.
Twisted Wracks
Twisted Wracks
Even if you never use their ability to ready by discarding tortures, you have a really good 3/3.  No hammers is an issue, but when push comes to shove these guys could murder someone.  I'm fine with only having 2 of them as well. 4/5
Rakarth’s Experimentations
Rakarth's Expermentations
Well it's free!  Assuming you've not done something stupid and got your warlord bloodied.  And that choice of discard or take a damage is actually a lot harder than it seems.  You can't give up free damage on your warlord in this game, but you also need cards to win, argh. 5/5
Ichor Gauntlet
Ichor gauntlet
Double pain.  Copying events (for free!) is so very tasty.Ok you exhaust your warlord, but if it means I get two of your best units out the discard from one Soul Seizure, I am ok with that. 4/5
Urien’s Oubliette
Uriens Oubliette
Information is power, and over time you will see good portion of what goes into your opponents hand.  Not to mention you can just stop them seeing all their good cards.  5/5
Space Wolves Predator
Space Wolves Predator
Stupidly expensive.  it does have a 3 command though, and a 5/5 body.  The reaction text states you're opponent can't commit to the planet you deploy this unit at.  That's a huge reaction, but sooo expensive.  Interesting rules query, if there is 3 planets left, and you deploy 1 to each planet, what happens?  Anyway too expensive 2/5
Primal Howl
Primal Howl
It's free, it gets you cards and it has two shields.  the only bad thing about this card is finding room for it in current space marine decks what with drop pod, indomitable and crushing blow being amazing.  5/5
Hallow Librarium
Hallow Librarium
So can exhaust this to give a unit -2atk, but only if your opponent warlord isn't there.  and 2 cost to play in the first place.  Not all that good.  1/5
Big Shoota Battlewagon
Big Shoota Battlewagon
Rather pricey but it does have things going for it.  With Nazdreg it's got Brutal.  So there is that.  When it dies you get some free snotlings.  Depending on how it pans out, that could be a free 4 damage.  When compared to goff nob, you pay 1 more for 2 less attack, the command icon and the free snotlings.  Probably not worth playing in Zogwort?  3/5
Made Ta Fight
Made ta Fight
Free damage, but not to warlords  But hey, they kill your goff nob, and you get to more than likely kill something in response.  gets round indomitable and that's always good.  4/5
Squiggify
Squiggify
If you see a lot of super powerful units this could be good.   Bear in mind, if you want to win the battle, you still have to kill the damn thing.  The real value is blanking text boxes.  Maxos is a juicy target, as is Honored librarian, anything with Area Effect.  So go at it. Orks keeping getting useful cards and are still not great.   Odd that.  3/5
Ancient Keeper of Secrets
Ancient keeper of Secrets
This costs the same as the predator in this pack.  it's still too expensive, but Chaos have ways of discounting it.  Plus the ability to ready it by feeding it cultists is scary.  the only problem is getting all those cultists. 3/5
Slaanesh’s Temptation
Slaanesh's Tempation.
Really really hate this card.  it's more annoying that good, but for that 4/5
Doom Siren
Doom Siren
Kill lots of things.  However there is an issue currently.  Chaos have two things with Area Affect, Bloodletters (who can't use this) and Blight Grenades.  So you have to have the grenades to do this.  That's a two (three if you count the nurgle unit requirement) card combo, that makes it quite weak.  2/5
Shrieking Basilisk
Shrieking Basilisk
It's rather tasty with ranged.  I would much rather it destroyed the support rather than exhaust it.  But ho hum.  2/5
The Emperor’s Warrant
The Emperor's Warrant
Oh this card, this card is fantastic.  exhaust and ENEMY unit, and it deals it's damage to another unit.  ok so the enemy warlord has to absent.  But seriously.  it's not printed, so a fully damaged enemy Killa Kan could wreak havoc.  4/5
Vior’la Warrior Cadre
Vior'la Warrior Cadre
Fulfil the same role as stingwing Swarm, Gain +1atk but you lose permanent Ranged and only get it when with an Ethereal.  Obviously only good with Aun'Shi, and I would rate them above the stingwings for him.  Otherwise, stingwings every time.  3/5
For the Tau’va
For the Tau'Va
Shadowsun gets some love.  Exhaust your warlord to ready 1 OR MORE units with attachments.  Go go ranged gunline.  5/5
Inquisitor Caius Wroth
Inquisitor Caius Wroth
Good value, and the cool meta defining reaction of making each player discard down to 4 cards in hand.  Eldar prob won't run him, neither will urien.  But otherwise go nuts  5/5

UKGE

This weekend was the UK games expo.   Which I attended primarily for the UK conquest nationals.  I finished 2 wons 4 losses, so did not do well all told.  But it was a fantastic weekend.
A run down.

Friday.  First day of the event.  Not much to do except shop and find space for open gaming.  Didn't buy anything,  but did play some games.

Fresco is a worker placement game.  Where you are all artists attempting to restore a Fresco(!)  The interesting part that you assign all your workers in secret.  And then all workers go out in turn order.  So you could well waste actions if all the limited spaces are filled before you get your go.  You need to buy and mix paints in order to buy tiles from the Fresco for points.  We all finished our first game within 7 points of each other.  We took that as a good sign of balance.

Castles of Mad King Ludwig is tile laying game by the same guys who did Suburbia.  And it plays much the same, except now you are building a castle.  The main difference is that rather than the Power grid like set price order, and everything gets cheaper as it goes on, in this the first player sets the prices. And all money used to buy tiles is paid to him.  But they pick last, and pay the bank when they buy a tile.  Then at the end of the round all remaining tiles get 1 currency on them, which is collected if you buy that tile, and new tiles are drawn.  Being rooms the end result tends to look better than the hexes of Suburbia.  I did as badly at this as I do in suburbia.

Love Letter is a very light game of basically guessing what your opponents have in their hand.  You always have one, each turn you draw a card, then discard one for it's effect.  The cards have various powers, and your aim is to eliminate your opponent, or have the highest card at the end of the round.  The High cards tend to have negative effects (if you ever discard the highest card for instance, you lose) and the low cards have the better powers (the Guard (value 1) can guess an opponents card, if you are right they are gone).  Very light, good fun.  We never finished.  We all finished with one round vitory (you need 4).  I won the first round, so I will take that as a win.

Dead of Winter is a coop(ish) game of surviving a zombie apocalypse in the middle of winter.  The catch is everyone has their own secret objective, and one of them may well be a traitor though not always.  Each game had an objective for the colony which must be completed if you are not a traitor.  This needs to be done before the morale reaches 0 (the game end condition)  If you are traitor you are attempting to get that morale track to 0.  But also each secret objective (traitor or otherwise) will have a second condition on it, that must be completed if that player wishes to win.  And that condition may or may not be wholly compatible with the rest of the group.  So each turn you are attempting to resolve a crisis (playing cards into a facedown pile the crisis needs x icons to overcome.  Any non matching count negative) , control the zombies and gather cards representing weapons, food (the colony needs feeding) or medicines.  Two intersting thing, if you travel, or go out to kill a zombie, you must roll the dreaded exposure die.  It has a 50/50 chance of doing nothing.  It could just ause a wound.  Or 1/12 of your surivior being bitten which is death and a horrible snowball effect.  Another note is the event cards.  One is drawn by the player the current players right.  They have a secret trigger, and if the condition is met by the current player during his turn, the event occurs.  We all died.

Seasons is a sor tof card game where you are just trying to play out cards from your hand in order to accumulate points.  To pay for these cards you are gathering energy and crystals, which you can get from the the dice that are told each turn.  Each round is a year, and each year has 4 seasons.  Each turn the dice for the current season is rolled.  Each player takes turns choosing a die, which may give them energy, a summon charge (a counter of how many cards you can have in play) or the ability to turn energy into crystals (a currency, but also victory points). Energy is more abundant in some seasons, and totally unavailable in others.  So you are just playing out cards attemtoing to get an engione going to get points.  It's ok, but player interaction is very minimal.  Very multiplayer solitaire.  me and Barry played this, and we tied.  On points and on the tiebreaker.

Harbour is a very light euro game, where are collecting goods and shipping them to buy buidings.  Each turn you put your worker in an unoccupied building and use it's action.  If a player owns said building, you must pay them a good to use it.  Some actions gain you goods. Some may let you ship.  Their is no currency in this game.  You ship what you have according to the market, and then buy a building.  In order to ship you need to have whatever the market says.  for example, meat may be worth 2$ and you have to ship 2+, Stone may be $5 but you need 5+.  if you ship a good, you ship all of it no matter how much you have.  For example if I had 6 meat and shipped in the above example I would only get $2 but lose all my meat.  Each building has a victory point value, first to 4 buildings triggers final round and highest combined building value wins.  I won(!)

Legendary Encounters Alien.  Been tempted by this for some time, but seems too pricey for what it is.  It's basically the same game as Legendary, the marvel deck building game.  But with some differences.  I can't explain it all here, but we failed miserabley.  It's hard.

Saturday was all Conquest.  Result was at the start.   My first game was a win.  the guy I beat then went on to win all his games the rest of the day.  I never stayed for the finals.  But I know he made at least top 4.  It then went horribly wrong.  faced Kith, Cato, Baharroth, Shadowsun, Zaruthur and a Ragnar.  My two wins was vs Kith and Ragnar.  Turns out you can bully Ragnar with an Armorbane sword and crushing blows.  I never had cards vs Kith, but it didn't matter too much.  I just threw units on the planets that got me wins the quickest, and I guess he never saw a doom to punish my warlord train.

Sunday was all Netrunner.  Now I haven't played Netrunner for well over a year and half, maybe 2.  I just entered for giggles.  Net decked some decks from wins from whatever the last pack I bought was and turned up.  I did much better than I thought.  My corp deck went 4-2. Runner did badly, 1-5.  Some real fun games though.  I had to fight hard for those corp wins, just installing things everywhere and hoping the agenda's didn't get run.  My best game was vs a Leela Pattel.  Was so close, but a last turn agenda score left my hq open which he hit mercilessly and scoring a win.  I did get a Ken 'Express' Tenma which was the worlds partipation promo.  Now Netrunner is hugely popular.  And the Americans haven't had their nationals yet.  I think ours might be the first.  This card may well be on ebay.  Already seeing it on there for £90+

The Threat Beyond

Torquemada Coteaz
Torquemada Coteaz
Absolute beast of a warlord...if you have dudes to feed to his ability.  8hp is a lot, the 8/8 start is awesome.  And as long as you afford to do it, 3 attack is a lot.  His obvious weakness is you can neuter him quite easily by killing of his units, but still.
Coteaz’s Henchmen
Coteaz's Henchmen
And with a beast of a warlord, we get these guys.  Would much prefer a 2/2 but a 1/3 is what we get.  There HP doesn't mean much when they are most likely going to be sacrificed to Coteaz.  Does let them live long enough though to get sacrificed.  And they have the nifty effect of readying your warlord when they leave play.  So obvious tactic, of sacrificing..someone for your warlords attack then Sac these guys for another attack.  Still, weak 2/5
Formosan Black Ship
Formosan Black Ship
Now we're talking.  When a dude is sacrificed, exhaust this to get two guardsmen.  More Fuel for Coteaz. 5/5
The Glovodan Eagle
The Glovodan Eagle
The major drawback of Coteaz is his 0 attack if by himself.  This attachment shores that up by providing +1 attack.  You can also turn it into a unit and kill it in desperate times for that one extra attack.
The Emperor Protects
The Emperor Protects
Return a dying guy to your hand.  Marvellous.  5/5
Firedrake Terminators
Firedrake Terminators
Expensive, beefy, and with the funky reaction of Dealing damage to anyone who attacks them.  I dream of the day when I have this in a Cato deck, someone attacks them and you Fury them of the board before the enemy even gets a chance to deal damage.  3/5 (edit, 28/03/16 I've been adding images and I can carry on  dreaming as fury wouldn't work.  What you can do though is stock up on Crushing Blows and do that.  Thats also a lot of fun)
Imperial Fists Siege Force
Imperial Fist Siege Force
Standard unit that routs any number of allies at their planet when deployed.  Thing is they are just going to come right back when the warlord commits, but exhausted I suppose.  The Allies you tend to see are Rogue Traders, Pirates and Survivalists and they still provide their bonuses when exhausted, if not the hammers.  So all in all, not a great unit 1/5
Nocturne-Ultima Storm Bolter
Nocturne-Ultima Storm Bolter
Iron Halo was a lacklustre card that provided 2 shields.  Now you can take the halos out and put these bad boys in.  After attached unit damages someone, they also do damage to another unit at the same planet.  Double Strike baby.   4/5
Snake Bite Thug
Snakebite Thug
Fills a similar role to the Warlock Destructor, who prob is the best Eldar unit at the present time.  The drawback this time is they damage themselves when they attack.  This one is better for one reason, Staging Ground.  Both IG and Orks can put this into play at anytime, which is huge.  Obvious synergy with Nazdreg, brutal ftw.  5/5
Evil Sunz Warbiker
Evil Sunz Warbiker
The Ork warlord groupie.  Same stats as Borkan Recruits, but these guys can also get put into play with staging ground.  So for the same reason the white scars are awesome for Drop Pod assault, these guys are also awesome 5/5
Mork’s Great Heap
Morks Great Heap.
Pretty good for Nazdreg, +1hp for everyone you care about for more Brutal.  Would be so broken with Zogwort if affected tokens, so thank Gork for that.  3/5
Noise Marine Zealots
Noise Marine Zealots
The Chaos Warlod groupie, Same as white scars in every way.  The Slaanesh trait is getting a lot of love, hope it gets support soon.  Thing is Chaos already have a lot of cool dudes, these aren't really in the same league as Berzerkers.  3/5
Turbulent Rift
Turbulent Rift
I think the deck to support this is quite there yet.  Elites tend to be expansive, and the meta calls for low cost at the monet.  But if anyone can afford their heavy hitters, it's Chaos  Amazing with Zaruthur if you can find a way of deploying after the command phase.  3/5
Cacophonic Choir
Cacophonc Choir
Sadly can't get boosted by Zaruthur.  Could be a game changer, though probably not.  2/5
Kabalite Halfborn
Kabalite Halfborn
Well, it's another unit that can benefit from the rifle, so yay.  but the zero command icons leaves me sad.  2/5
Slake the Thirst
Slake the Thirst
It's free,  but I dunno, the discards are random, so that's good.  But hoping you a) get rid of their good cards and b) they don't redraw something better seems to be leaving too much to luck.  1/5
Shadow Field
Shadow Field
Oh how I wish warlords could have this.  It's a nifty effect.  Does almost nothing against Space Marines and Chaos, but everyone else could well see the chosen unit be nigh immune to damage.  4/5
Mighty Wraithknight
Mighty Wraithknight
It's big and it exhausts everything at the planet it enters play at, except itself, the Wraithfighter Wraithguard (presently).  Could be huge, could be a massive resource sink.  2/5
Seer’s Exodus
Seer's Exodus
Ah the fun you could have with this. Send as many of your units that are with your warlord (inc the warlord) home.  Not even exhausted.  It's not a retreat either, so doesn't trigger Morkai  Rune Priest or Umbral Preacher.  Potential is huge, and it's free!  5/5
Slumbering Gardens
Slumbering Gardens
erm no 0/5
Fire Warrior Grenadiers
Fire Warrior Grenadiers
Very slightly overcosted imo.  But they have potential in Aun'Shi.  Kauyon strike could see you with a +10atk monster with Armorbane.  4/5
Ksi’m’yen Orbital City
Ksi'm'yen Orbital City
Aun'shi's sig squad is so-so, but every other card in the cycle seems to be there to make up for it.  This card is so good, and not even unique.  It lets Aun'shi attack, return to hq (safe from retaliation) and then go right back in, READY!!  5/5

Conquest Spring Event - Gamerz Nexus, Rayleigh

So Saturday Gamerz Nexus had their spring event for Conquest and Star Wars LCG.  Deciding that a day of two games I really like vs one evening of a game I am middling on nowadays (X-wing) I took the long train journey down there.
Was only 4 for Star Wars.  So we did round robin.  I did ok.  Lost first match.  Split second (dark side wins both) and won third.  lessons to be learnt.  I'm not very good at star wars. Probably has something to do with only played maybe 10 games this year?  Once again, St Neots is utter shit for gaming (unless you are a Magic drone)

But anyway Conquest I have much more experience with.  There were 8 attendees for this one.

I took Cato Sicarius.  I do love Cato in this game.  Space Marines just have everything in a neat and tidy box of win.

Cato Cato Sicarius
Sicarius's Chosen x4
Tactical Squad Cardinis x3
10th Company Scout x2
Blood Angel Veterans x3
Honored Librarian x3
White Scars Bikers x3
Veteran Brother Maxos x2
Eager Recruit x3

Vash'ya Trailblazer x3
Rogue Trader x2
Void Pirate x2

Indominatable x3
Exterminatus x1
Crushing Blow x2

Tallassarian Tempest Blade x1
Iron Halo x 2
Godwyn Pattern Bolter x1

Game 1 was VS Gary and Colonel Stracken.
Gary I think was relatively inexperienced.  I somewhat dominated.  I was able to just flood the board with dudes, and keep his board very very clear.  I don't think I ever sent my warlord to planet one, except turn 4.  Game was over by turn 4 as that was the earliest the planets aligned.  Win here.  Gary is pretty good at all the other games I've played against him, hope he sticks with this one.  Win

Game 2 was vs Barry and Captain Cato
So a Mirror Match.  Planet flop saw all 3 with Red Icons, so was going to be short.  I had initiative, so just fought where I had that.   Good job I won on planet 5 though, I was running out of cards and command presence going on onward.  Think I saw all 3 drop pod assaults, and they netted me the likes of white scars bikers and honored librarians every time. One fun event was me using the chosen on earth caste technician. Moving them to a planet with a technician already.  He saved the tech with shields, I sent my warlord there and got two essentially free resources for my efforts.

Game 3 was vs Zarathur (I didn't get the guys name, sorry)
This hurt, a lot.  As the way of with Zaruthur.  The long and short of it, went for Red as 4 of the 5 were Red icons.  The very last fight was humorous.  Lots of stuff turned up.  A Gleeful Plague Beast and a Warpstorm made sure it wasn't there anymore.  So then it came down to Cato (1 hp left) vs Zarathur (1 hp left) a Gleeful Plague Beast (2 hp left) and a Flesh Hound (2 hp left).  Drop Pod netted me an Honored Librarian.  He had no more burn so I won the planet on initiative. Cato Bloodied Zarathur, The Flesh Hounds bloodied Cato, Honored librarian killed the Plague beast and next round I struck first for the win on planets.

So loot for me.

Playmat (now with GW disclaimer text!!  FU GW) Cybork Body deck box,
Coliseum Fighters Promo and Eldorath Starbane Promo.  Note the bloodied side of Eldorath is the photo.  Thats the side everyone likes to see in game right?

40k Conquest Store Championship Wargames Workshop MK 22/03

Incubus Warrior x3
Murder of Razorwings x3
Syren Zythlex x2

Archon's Terror x3
Doom x 1
Foretell x2
Suffering x3
Agonizer of Bren x1

I forgot to write down names, apologies to all involved.

Game 1 was vs Zaruthar
Spent a lot of this running from Burna Boyz.  6+2 damage is just too much, and they had ranged.  But was able to get win the planets I needed to so as not to lose and then went on to win eventually.

Game 2 was vs Eldar.
I had an amazing opening hand.  Rogue trader, Void Pirate, Kith's Kymera masters, Incubus Warrior, Klaivex Warleader.  That turn one netted me a command win on 3 planets, and won the first planet.  He had gone fairly all in in on the first planet.  He had a Black Guardians and I believe a warp spider.  and his warlord, I had 2 kymeras, my warlord and Kymera masters I had the initiative, hit the Black Guardian with a Khymera, Klaivex'd it, and proceeded to mop up the planet.  This cost my opponent dearly and was on the back foot the rest of the game tbh.  My opponent had some really bad draws I think.  Was sitting on something like 14 resources at some point.

Game 3 was vs Ku'Gath
This was quite close
Was very close, a critical mistake last turn won me it.  If I won the planet (it was 4th or 5th turn) I won the game, he didn't seem to realise it and spread his deployment out to future turns.  As it happens, if I didn't win this planet I was somewhat doomed so was a maybe tactical play.  I had nothing in hand.  The battle was hard fought.  Gleeful plague beast and warpstorm really really hurt my forces.  All I had was my warlord left, but a Klaivex killed his Plague Beast and the remaining bad dok just couldn't win it.

So I won, got my plaque and Regional Bye.  Don't quite know which regional I will be going to.  but for the time being I can chill out, make some more fun decks.

Zogwort's Curse

So pack 4 of 6 from the warlords Cycle.

Not played with much of these so completely baseless opinions inc

Old Zogwort
Old Zogwort
This is going to be slightly unfair.  I have no doubt that someone somewhere is totally wrecking house with Zogwort.  But I am just not seeing it.  You do get a LOT of snotlings from his Signature squad, but they are 1/1's  They are rubbish.  And then he kills them all.  Not that that matters much, since it's after combat ends.  But still, he has a ramp up time  to hit any sort of critical mass every single combat which I don't think is good at all.  On the other hand, you are getting free stuff for doing stuff you are already doing.  Agh I do need to play a Zogwort deck but as I see it - 1/5
Zogwort’s Runtherders
Zogwort's Runtherders
3 cost is too much for a 1/3/1.  They do generate snotlings, and since it's an interrupt you get the snotling even if they die from the damage.  Fairly nifty with Ork Kannons though. The drawback of hitting your own guys is much reduced when you get something from it.  3/5
Zogwort’s Hovel
Zogwort's Hovel
More snotlings yay.  I'm going to have to play a game with Zogwort to see if it is at all worth it.  1/5
Wyrdboy Stikk
Wyrdboy Stikk
Has some nifty uses, after a snotling dies, you can exhaust this attachment to get another.  And it appears at ANY planet.  Shenanigans ensue 3/5
Launch Da Snots
Launch Da Snots
Ah a good card from this godawful warlord.  Gives an Ork +atk equal the number of snotlings at the planet.  The problem is the aforementioned ramp up time with generating snotlings.  4/5 for assassination potential alone.
Blood Claw Pack
Blood Claw Pack
Honestly didn't expect to see another Space Wolf this cycle, but here is one.  If the enemy warlord dares to go to the same planet as these, you get a Space Wolf  from hand into play...for free.  Probably not quite enough Space Wolves yet to make them viable, but Ragnar being the warlord hunting beast he is...ouch.  4/5
Rally the Charge
Rally the Charge
+atk equal to your command icons.  has potential to get silly.  Deathwing and Land Raiders become 6 attack, 8 if promoted, Iron Hand Techmarines is potentially double figures.  thing is Space Marines already have the amazing events that are indomitable and Drop Pod Assault and just can't see replacing them for this.  3/5
Secluded Apothecarion
Secluded Apothecarion
Lets face it, All units, even Space Marines, die in this game.  This lets you get a resource back if they do.  Makes the pain a little more bearable.  Funny as hell with Eager Recruits and Holy Sepulchre Recursion.  The little guys go back to your hand and paid for themselves doing so.
Steel Legion Chimera
Steel Legion Chimera
Imperial Guard are the winners this pack by far.  Only works versus attacks, so doing little to save you from Zarathur but it prevents 1 damage dealt to non vehicles you control. Combine with the likes of Bodyguard, Rockcrete Bunker and your little expendable dudes aren't dieing unless you want them to do.  And only 3 cost, bonkers  5/5
Tallarn Raiders
Tallarn Raiders
Tallarn desert raiders are experts at Guerilla Warfare and hit and run...why then do they not have Mobile?  Anyway these are the IG warlord groupie.  Already good at cost 1 with a command, they also become 2/2's when with a warlord.  Very good 4/5
Staging Ground
Staging Ground
1 cost support that lets you Ambush any unit cost two or lower.  Oh my.  Still got to pay for them.  But the likes of Tallarn Raiders and Strackens Command Squad with Ambush is amazing.  Enginseers become much better when dropped into a combat.  And with Allies, you can drop in Tactical Squads, Raganr can drop in his sentinels.  It's very very good.  And not loyal!  5/5
Gleeful Plague Beast
Gleeful Plague Beast
Beefy Nurgle Plague beast that does 1 damage to every body at his planet when the battle happens.  As always this seems better with Zaruthur than ku'Gath, although this guy does guarantee Ku'Gath starts the battle with a damage to move around.  I think it is an auto include in Chaos for now.  Also a daemon, so yay cultists.  5/5
Doombolt
Doombolt
1 cost event, essentially doubles the amount of damage on an army unit.  Sadly cannot benefit from Zarathur's interrupt.  Not a massive fan.  2/5
Blight Grenades
Blight Grenades
Ah finally a card that makes Death Guard Infantry worthwhile.  Can give these bad boys to Ku'gaths Nurglings, the Death Guard Infantry, Virulent Plague Squad and Rotten Plaguebearers.  And sacrifice the attachment to gain Area Affect 2 until the end of the combat.   Area Effect is never bad.  4/5

2 costs is a sweet spot for units.  If it's 2 cost it is prob worth a look.  And these are.  You get a standard 2/2/1 but with the +2atk with a warlord clause.  Slighly weaker than Bor'kan as they can't have wargear attachments, but DE obv can't get the Bor'kan so not a fair comparison.  Not seeing a space for them in De at the moment, but I have no doubt they have a space any in any DE combat deck.  3/5

Play a torture discard a card from the top 3 of a deck, Presumably your opponents, but there is also Value in looking at your own cards and removing the chaff.  Probably waiting for Urien/5
Searing Brand
Searing Brand
Another Torture for the as yet unavailable Urien Rakarth deck.  This one is pretty tasty, it does 3 unpreventable damage or your opponent can discard two cards to cancel it.  Win/win.  4/5
Vectored Vyper Squad

If Ku'gath's Nurgings wasn't a thing these might be pretty good.  As it is, they are so very meh.  Might see some use is a death from above mobile themed deck.   2/5
Guardian Mesh Armor
Guardian Mesh Armour
Doubles the shields on a card played to shield attached unit.  Pretty good for saving key units.  Like Eldritch Corsairs, or wraithguard.  3/5
Sa’cea XV88 Broadside
Sac'ea Xv88 Broadside
Oh my these have the goods.  3 command icons, 6 hp and 4 attack.  for 6 cost.  If they have an attachment (they are in a tau deck, you have attachments) they have Area Affect 2.  If that attachment is, say, Gun Drones, they are area effect 4.  Cower in fear enemies of the greater good!!  5/5 for being what a big scary unit should be.
Tense Negotiations
Tense Negotiations
Forget what it does, what is important is this card lets you Exhaust Aun'shi so he doesn't attack and run away for more Armorbane goodness.  Triggering a battle ability is just icing.  Just imagine moving units to the battle or routing on of theirs.  5/5
Heavy Marker Drone
Heavy Marker Drones
yay Shadowsun is relevant again.  Put this on something annoying, kill it.  And next turn Shadowsun can bring it back from the discard.

As mentioned, IG won this pack hard.  Get this pack if you at all want to play IG.
